The Lion of Jerusalem

Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu was born on October 21, 1949, in Tel Aviv, Israel. The son of historian Benzion Netanyahu, he grew up between Israel and the United States, attending high school in Philadelphia before returning to serve with distinction in the Israel Defense Forces, rising to the rank of captain in the elite Sayeret Matkal special forces unit.

Netanyahu studied at MIT and Harvard, earning degrees in architecture and political science, before entering the diplomatic world as Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations in the 1980s. He became the ninth Prime Minister of Israel in 1996, making him the first to be born after the establishment of the State of Israel, and has remained the country's longest-serving prime minister in its history.

"Israel is not a country that turns the other cheek. We have the right and the duty to defend ourselves."

The State of Israel

Established on May 14, 1948, the State of Israel is the world's only Jewish state and the spiritual homeland of the Jewish people — a nation reborn after two thousand years of exile and yearning. From the shores of the Mediterranean to the Negev desert, Israel stands as a testament to an ancient people's unbreakable bond with their land.

With Jerusalem as its eternal capital — a city of gold, faith, and history stretching back millennia — Israel has transformed into a thriving democracy, a global technology powerhouse, and a nation that has defended itself against overwhelming odds with extraordinary courage and resilience.

The Eternal Capital

For three thousand years, Jerusalem has stood at the center of Jewish identity, faith, and longing. The city of King David, the Temple Mount, the Western Wall — these are not simply places but the very heartbeat of a civilization. Netanyahu has consistently championed Jerusalem's status as Israel's undivided and eternal capital, a position formalized internationally in 2017.
